Introduction

Income Tax Registration is mandatory for all individuals earning taxable income in Pakistan, whether they are salaried employees or non-salaried individuals (such as freelancers, professionals, or self-employed persons).

The registration process allows individuals to obtain a National Tax Number (NTN), which is issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

  • 2. Bank Statement
  • 3. Proof of Investment (Insurance, Share, Properties, Prize bond and Gold etc.)
  • 4. All Withholding Tax Certificates from clients
  • 5. Business Registration & Sales Tax Certificates
  • 5. Asset & Loan Details

Timeframe for Income Tax Registration (Individuals)

  • Application Submission: Immediate
  • Document Verification: 2–3 working days
  • Registration Approval / NTN Issuance: 2–5 working days
